I bought a spare original remote controller, that i easily paired with the Chromecast HD. However it signals outdated firmware in the interface. I tried to update it, it downloads and remote signals as if being updated, restarts and nothing ... back to the original.
The other issue, maybe linked, is that pressing the buttons does not always lead to action on the Chromecast. Seems like the remote is in some sleep mode and only after pressing many times it wakes up. Removing batteries also helps, but its a nuisance to a user.
Can you advise what to do? Seems also the old remote with updated firmware is now mimicking this behavior.
Thanks for help,
Matus

Hi Matoo,
Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with your new remote control for your Chromecast HD. I understand how frustrating this situation can be. But don't worry; help is here. In this case, you can try to unpair and reset the voice remote, then pair it back.
After that:

Well will try that but now traveling, so once i get back home. Even if I already received from shop offer to return the remote within a warranty period. Definitely would prefer to have it fixed. I will keep you posted.
