REmote for google tv streamer freezes Have to remove batteries and replace to get it working

The remote on my google tv streamer freezes regularly  I have to take the batteries out and put them back in to unfreeze

I've only had mine a few hours, I don't think the remote froze, but I think the centre button got stuck in which rather made a mess of operating.  I didn't realise until after I pulled the power on the device and rebooted.

@AndyCr15 thanks for your recommendations. I’m glad to hear you were able to get your Voice Remote working again. 

@greggy51 thanks for posting in the community. I'm sorry for the inconveniences that you are experiencing with your Google TV Streamer Voice Remote. I can see that your Voice Remote freezes and it is a normal behavior. You have tried rebooting the remote by taking out and putting back the batteries but are still having the same behavior after a while. Let me help you with this.

To further assist you, I need some extra information:

• How long was the remote functional before the issue started?
• Are there any error messages from the Google TV Streamer when this issue occurred?
• What type of batteries are you using? Are they the original batteries included in the box?
• Have you tried factory resetting the Voice Remote?
