Your troubleshoot page literally tells me to perform a factory reset. How about putting a message there so other users don't?

I pay for 5 streaming services, that I can’t watch. So pr. day I loose 9 € / 10 $, now it’s 36 € / 40 $!
How is it that a large corporation as Google needs 4+ days to code a fix!?!
03-12-2025 01:30 AM
How long you guys plan to roll out a solution, you sold millions of devices that are now useless. Is that how your protocols work?? Or is it your way of killing the older devices?
03-12-2025 01:32 AM
imagine what they will do with your data, cancel google drive

03-12-2025 01:58 AM
I see there is an update, but no advice as to when this will be fixed. Will there be a timeframe provided? Thanks.

According to a Reddit post, Google set a validity deadline of March 9th, 2025 at 16:44:39 GMT. Is there a reason this issue was not anticipated or did they simply plan on making existing users buy a new model by now?
03-12-2025 02:01 AM
Please fix the bug and share it asap. Could not watch my favourite movie.
Thanks for the update.😊

It’s the third day of the unit not working.
How can a fix like this take so long for one of the biggest tech companies?
( Or ”so called tech companies” maybe..?? )
And a huge lack of information also!
When can a fix be expected?

03-12-2025 02:21 AM
Why is this taking so long to resolve? This is now the 3rd day effected for a past due certificate?
There’s no way a company such as Apple or Amazon would have such an outage for such a prolonged period and such abysmal communication about it! this has got to be better from google!

saisiko kans vastauksen ku olette korjannut vian mahd.nopeasti .Kiitos.
03-12-2025 02:28 AM

For those who did do a factory reset, I was able to re-setup my device as follows:
03-12-2025 02:30 AM
Looks like it will take a decade to fix.
03-12-2025 02:31 AM
Hi, how are you progressing with the Chromecast bug fix, do you already know how long it will take to resolve it, how will we be notified of the fix, how do you plan to compensate the thousands of users who trusted Google and have seen how a product that worked no longer does so because of the company's fault? Remember that most of us have done “factory reset” as it is a standard solution with the device.
How do you plan to compensate the thousands of users who trusted Google and have seen how a product that worked no longer does so because of the company?
There is always talk of planned obsolescence, but this is being a dire experience that makes us doubt their products in the future.
As a company, they need to step up and do something that is DIFFERENTIAL in their relationship with affected customers.
And to emphasize, that the customer service for this problem has been dire, both in chat and phone call.
03-12-2025 02:36 AM
You are talking to nobody, instead of provide support they redirected us to this community room, to complain to each other, but nobody from outside world are awere. share this info and cancel google drive, imagine loosing all your data
03-12-2025 02:32 AM
May you wither as a company a pox upon you all
03-12-2025 02:32 AM
I sincerely hope that you have a solution for all of us that re-seted our device, as an answer of the trouble-shooting request
03-12-2025 02:34 AM
Patience? It's been over 4 days. Clearly not a priority for Google.
03-12-2025 02:40 AM
That's the exact same information as the original post with a few more words. Please, tell us where we can expect to find out when a fix has been rolled out, or get updates in general.
03-12-2025 02:42 AM
already díd the factoy reset and is now stuck. What to do?
03-12-2025 02:45 AM
Why is no clear timeliness?
03-12-2025 02:46 AM
Time for an update on how long the fix will take, please.
03-12-2025 02:55 AM
Me sorprende que no hayan avisado y que tarden tanto en arreglarlo. Por mi parte no pienso comprar modelos más nuevos. Si voy a gastar plata será de otra marca.
03-12-2025 02:57 AM
I am not able to set Chromecast device on my tv. It always says we could not authenticate your Chromecast. I am trying to set up from last two days . Please call me and help with the setup
03-12-2025 02:59 AM
Step one open bin . . .
03-12-2025 02:57 AM
Thousands, if not millions of people already reset their devices because this is what your own Help Center says to do. I only found out after the fact by stumbling upon a random reddit thread that told me what the problem was. Not good enough Google.
