If your device is not on the corresponding firmware version, please try rebooting your device to start the update process.

I know it was stated the app update might be a couple of days to fully roll out, but I am still not seeing an update option for 3.30.1.6. I am still using 3.30.1.5.

None of my three Chromecast Audio units is currently working. I have tried to check the firmware version but there is nothing displayed under Technical Information, and other device information is also missing when compared to my Chromecast devices. I have tried rebooting each of the Chromecast Audio units.

03-19-2025 08:48 AM
Get the app update out for everyone, already! It has been 2 days since release of the new version. It's baffling that you're ok with delaying a fix for days to groups of users.

03-19-2025 09:37 AM
Using Google Home version 3.30.1.6 with three Chromecast Audio devices—one (firmware 1.56.467166) remains connected and functions after power cycling, while two reset devices fail to reconnect. The reset devices complete setup but result in an error: “Setup successful but can’t be found.” They appear connected in the router’s Wi-Fi list with valid IPs but are missing from Google Home. Casting apps like MediaMonkey and Plexamp list them, but playback fails. Additionally, speaker groups have vanished from the Google Home app, making casting functionality unreliable.

Is there again an Issue with Chromecast 2nd gen and Chromecast Audio?
I haven't done a factory reset on this device and after the update it came back normally but today the device is not coming up .
A reboot doesn't work. Now I'm in doubt to do a factory reset.
Please advise.

Boa tarde!

03-19-2025 11:04 AM
i can't seem to get that release version from my play store.
No update available
Current release is 3.30.1.5
Are you sure you have released to everyone?
03-19-2025 11:06 AM
I updated my google home app to the specified version on android ios. Unfortunately my factory reset device was unable to connect to my WiFi when reinstalling. During the attempt to connect to WiFi, i get a 'lost communication' message on my mobile phone. The chromecast does connect to my WiFi forca minute or so, but after that it disconnects and stays disconnected.
03-19-2025 11:20 AM
