Turn back date on your phone to 8th of march and you can add chromecast back to your home. Still cannot cast or anything but then you can sit tight and wait for fix 🫤

How much more time would it take? Do we have an SLA for this service?

03-10-2025 11:57 PM
Not good enough, Google! At the very least you should be providing updates more frequently. And I would love to know what you plan to do to compensate those affected. It's enough to make me want to switch to Apple!

On what platform, will you provide the instructions if I already made a factory reset?
The lake of official information from Google on this, is SOO bad !!!
03-11-2025 12:08 AM
Is there no way to revert the update that caused this problem?
03-11-2025 12:08 AM
If you already made factory reset you can add chromecast bact to your home like this. Turn back date on your phone to 8th of march or earlier open google home and you can add chromecast back to your home. Still cannot cast or anything but then you can sit tight and wait for fix 🫤

So do we just revert to this thread everyday until thw fix update comes out? How will we be notified of the solution otherwise?
03-11-2025 12:27 AM
I've already reset my device. So what now?
03-11-2025 12:31 AM
Will you - Google - please ensure you email us when the fix is ready, along with the instructions on how to deal with the matter if we have already done a factory reset. And could you please have the courtesy to update us very soon? Thanks
03-11-2025 12:34 AM

03-11-2025 12:34 AM
Any update it’s been over 24 hours
03-11-2025 12:40 AM
Don’t fire the intern, please. (I’m the intern)
03-11-2025 12:44 AM
What is the estimated time frame for this issue to be fixed? It's not good enough to just say "as soon as possible" not once you're passed the 24 hour mark.
Also, I already factory reset my chromecasts because that's what I usually do when the glitch, not knowing there was a wider issue till it didn't work. So what do we do if we already factory reset?
03-11-2025 01:02 AM
I am also suffering with this issue since yesterday morning. But solution till now. What to do? How to do?
03-11-2025 01:03 AM
No solution till now
03-11-2025 01:13 AM
Set the date on your smartphone back to march 7th. Then install your Chromecast through Google Home. It won't work for steaming anyway but it is connected to your net ready to receive the fix
03-11-2025 12:50 AM
早くして下さい
03-11-2025 12:52 AM
いつ頃解決するんですか?
03-11-2025 12:52 AM
Please provide me the solution as I already factory reset my chromecast and now it's not connecting to my tv.
03-11-2025 12:52 AM
You're just aware but you do nothing. We ought to stop pouring money into American pockets.
03-11-2025 12:54 AM
How long does it take for you to fix this problem?
03-11-2025 12:55 AM
How far away is a fix? We are coming up 36 hours now.
03-11-2025 12:55 AM
03-11-2025 12:48 AM
What to do if you already factory reset the device ?
03-11-2025 12:59 AM
Consumers should be compensated for such an issue impacting their services. Not only have we paid for the Chromecast, but we pay for multiple streaming services which we can no longer access as a result of Google's error and/or neglect of a customer population. This all seems very suspicious, how can anyone rely Google after such a disaster?!
Do better Google! 😕
03-11-2025 12:59 AM
Please provide me the solution for this. As I already factory reset my chromecast device and now it's not configuring with my TV.
03-11-2025 01:00 AM
48hrs later no fix?
