I recently connected my new google tv to my old Panasonic tv. I then went to settings and tried to set up the remote to turning both on and on the tv as well as the google home. I managed to turn off the tv, but now it won’t turn on. The “on light” stays red eventhough I am able to adjust the volume.
please help! What should I do? I don’t have a remote to the tv and I believe it is out of production as well.

Thank you for taking time to answering my question. I am unsure how to check the HDMI-CEC when my tv is not turning on at all. It is only in standby mode all the time. I sit possible to connect my google tv to for example a laptop and then configure it with the tv?

Hi @Elias_A!
Thanks for the update. Regarding your question, It is not possible to configure CEC settings through a laptop connection with a Chromecast with Google TV. CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) is a TV feature. Its settings are located within the TV's menu system. CEC allows for HDMI devices to be controlled with one remote control. In this case you can contact Panasonic so they can help you on how to turn on the CEC function on your TV and this would allow you to control your TV using your Chromecast Voice Remote. In order for this function to work, your streaming device must be using a wall outlet for power and not plugged into a USB port on the TV.
Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Geremi
