Hey there HendonRunner,

Welcome to the Chromecast forum! Yes, you can remove the time from Ambient Mode. To do so, you'll just need to disable it in the Google Home settings:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. At the top right corner, tap Settings .
  4. Scroll down tap Ambient Mode.
  5. Under Time, tap Hide.

That's all there is to it. Here is an image of those settings, with Time on the bottom:

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know.

Best regards,
Jeran

Hi Jeran

Thanks for taking the time to give me that helpful advice.
When I allow the instructions the last two steps bring me to;
Ambient Mode Settings -> Device Settings
The Device Settings screenshot just has the "Device Settings"  title and then blank underneath with no settings.

Maybe the first generation Chrome stick we are using does not have that functionality?

Thanks again!

Hiya HendonRunner,

Those settings should be available on your 1st generation Chromecast. In this case, tap on the "Add to a room" and add the Chromecast to a room in your house. After you do that, the settings page should populate with the appropriate settings.

Let me know if that helps!

Best regards,
Jeran

Thank you.
