Dear Google Support,
I’m reaching out to ask about the selection process for the images displayed in the Chromecast slideshow, particularly regarding the frequency of certain images, like Jess Sorenson's photo of the winter cabin. While it’s a beautiful image, I’ve noticed that it, along with another image by Jess Sorenson—captured on Pixel, depicting a winter landscape—appears far more often than expected.
Given the incredible variety of art and photography available today, I would have expected a broader, more diverse range of images to be showcased. This repetition feels like a missed opportunity to introduce more culture and beauty into homes through the Chromecast experience.
I’d also like to suggest something that could help address this. I’ve noticed some images are tagged as "Captured on Pixel," but they weren’t from my Pixel, which got me thinking: why not allow users to submit their own photos for consideration? It could be a fun feature that engages the community and adds to the diversity of content. I’d personally be happy to submit some images, albeit monetization would be expected for the artwork, and I’m sure many others would be interested as well.
Also, while we’re on the topic of repetitive images, I’ve noticed Justin Hardigree’s photo of the two waterfalls captured on Pixel. To be honest, they aren’t exactly Niagara Falls, and it’s not the most breathtaking shot either. Maybe a little less of that, and a bit more variety could freshen things up.
At this point, I’m starting to think Jess Sorenson must have a real knack for Chromecast slideshow development! All jokes aside, I’d love to see a wider range of beautiful images, and I believe this would greatly enhance the experience.
Thank you for your time and assistance
