Sound bar not listed

I just bought a new sound bar and can't find it listed on the accessory list (kmouk km-hsb001). Granted it isn't the greatest bar out there. I'd like to have my Chromecast remote control the volume and power of the sound bar. Why is there no option to manually input an accessory.

I apologize for the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to connect that soundbar? If not, I'd be happy to help out, since it's frustrating when devices don't play along. The first thing I would make sure is that your Chromecast and soundbar are both up-to-date on their firmware. Then, I would factory reset the soundbar, and re-set it back up again. After that, check to see if you are able to connect the soundbar to the Chromecast via Bluetooth.

Hello Needshelp411,

If you want to set up the Chromecast Voice Remote buttons and control your Soundbar but, the brand of your soundbar isn't on the list of supported device brands for the Chromecast with Google TV (HD) and Chromecast Voice Remote, it means that it is not compatible.

Please take note that although there are Soundbar brands that can be set up for Chromecast with Google TV however, not pairable/compatible with the Voice Remote.

You may try to choose a different brand from the list, which in your view has the same country of manufacture as the soundbar. You may also search for soundbar remote codes online and see if any other brand matches the same code as Kmouk, and select that other brand instead. However, please be informed that this step may or may not work.
