Streaming Services Won't Play Video When CCWGTV is Connected To Bluetooth Speaker

I have an issue that has bugged me for a while now and I can't seem to find much information online about it. I have a Vizio Bluetooth sound bar connected to my Chromecast with Google TV. When I play certain streaming services (like Disney+, Plex, and others), it will say there is an issue playing the videos. When I turn off the sound bar, they will play. Why would certain streaming services not allow video playback or cause an issue when I am connected to the Bluetooth speaker? What could be causing the issue?

Hi liketheyogurt,

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Chromecast device. Let's sort this out. A few questions:

  • Which version of Chromecast with Google TV do you have (4K/HD)?
  • When did it start?
  • What are the steps that you’ve taken?

Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

  • Unpair your sound bar from the Chromecast with Google TV via Settings > Remotes and Accessories.
  • Plug in your Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV.
  • Reboot your TV and Wi-Fi router.
  • Reset your Chromecast with Google TV.
  • Re-pair your sound bar — check this link for guidance.

Thanks,

Kimy
