We've been trying to set up our Chromecast for ever now. 2 tech professionals and 2 teenagers trying to use a plug and play device, this should be easy, right?
Wrong. We've had nothing but trouble with the Chromecast. I tried setting it up in the den and it wouldn't connect to wifi (though my phone and laptop right next to it were fine.) I tried rebooting and occasionally it would get through, only then to get stuck on the sign process.
I've moved downstairs and am now trying to set it up next literally right next to the router. It was a bit funny the first few times but it's connected to the internet, but when I go to sign in and gets stuck in a loop where it asks me to Verify I'm me, then tries to sign in, then starts the sign in process again.
I've rebooted the chrome cast, uninstalled the home app, restarted my phone, reinstalled the app and still it's not working. I've also tried using the remote for the setup but I just get an infinite spinning wheel.
Have we just got a dude device (brand new!) or is there some special key sequence that can jump start this thing. I've wasted HOURS on it
