Stuk in gemini assistant welcome page

Hi everyone,
​I'm unable to complete the Gemini Assistant setup on my new Google TV Streamer. This setup screen appears every time I press the microphone button on the remote or try to perform a text search.
​Here is the loop I'm stuck in:
​Welcome Screen: I can acknowledge it without any issues.
​Personalized Results: I am asked to 'Turn on' or 'No thanks' for personalized search results. Regardless of which option I choose, the result is the same.
​Voice Selection: I select a voice for the assistant.
​After these steps, I am returned to the Google TV home screen. However, as soon as I try to use the search or microphone again, the 'Welcome to Gemini' screen reappears. I've already tried toggling the 'Personalized Results' in the Google Home app, but the TV doesn't seem to register the change.
​Does anyone have a fix for this?

I have the exact same problem. Brand new 4k streamer and it gets stuck in the "Meet Gemini for TV" page. Very frustrating.

I have found a workaround. Open application, find "google tv" and  clear data and cache.

This will result in uninstalling gemini assistant.

It will probably be reinstalled later... i guess hehe

It wont work for me.  I went to settings, apps, google tv and cleared data and cache and it’s still going to Gemini page.  Been working it now for 2 hours 😞

It worked. After I cleared data and cache. I immediately came out and got the microphone button and it started working

Dame thing for me. Stuck at Gemini assistant chooser voice. At every search this show me this and no result of the search.

I am having the same exact issue. I hold my microphone button, or try to search, and it loops back to the “Meet Gemini for TV, your upgraded AI voice assistant” screen. I Bought my Google TV streamer 2 days ago.

I tried going into the setting and uninstalling updates to Google TV, in an attempt to revert it to factory settings. I even ended up turning off auto-updates for apps, to try to stop gemini from coming back and hijacking google assistant.

Your mic and search features should work as expected, but with Google assistant, instead of Gemini. Unfortunately, after some time (an hour or 2 on my side) Google TV gets silently updated, gemini comes back, and we’re back to the same problem again.

I am honestly considering returning this thing. I understand this is likely server issue on Google’s end, but customers should not have to be troubleshooting and debugging a relatively expensive new device for hours, just to get basic functions to temporarily work. Especially when we have competing brands without this big of a stability problem right out the box. I don’t even know if Google is fully aware of this issue.

Today I got back the update for the Gemini on both of my TV Streamer and today, it's working perfectly. Look like they solved the issue. Tell me if it solved your issue on your side.
