Are you wanting to rename your Chromecast or physically move it from one TV to another TV in a different location, I'm assuming that location has a different Wi-Fi network name and password?

I bought a new smart tv for my bedroom so don’t need Chromecast there.
The Chromecast on my kitchen tv quit working. I used the one from the bedroom in the kitchen. It works but shows bedroom twice. And when it connects in the kitchen, it disconnects the new smart tv in the bedroom

So you want to rename them. To do that:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap the device.
  3. Tap the settings cog at the top right.
  4. Tap Device information,
  5. Tap Name.
  6. Give it a new name and tap Save.

All I want to do is change the name of my chrome cast. Where I open Home it doesn’t show either of my chrome casts. The chrome casts are old-2018.
what do I do.

If you can't see them in the Google Home app, here's a few things to check:

  1. Are you connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the Chromecasts?
  2. Are you signed into the app with the account that set them up? Or an account that has been invited to the "home" by the user that set them up?
  3. Do you have more than one "home" in the app? Could they be in a different one? (If you do have more than one "home", at the top, tap the name of the current home, then tap to select a different one).
  4. If you scroll to the very bottom, do they appear under "local devices"?

If you still can't find them by checking those things, I'd recommend resetting them. You can then set them up again properly and name them something of your choice.
