Can not sync replacement remote

I have tried holding back and home button for 3 seconds. I’ve tried unplugging everything. Nothings working

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry your replacement remote isn't syncing. Thank you for trying some troubleshooting steps already. I'm happy to help!

In order to sync your Chromecast remote, follow these troubleshooting steps:

1. Press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast until the light starts pulsing. 
2. Press and hold the Back and Home buttons on the new voice remote for three seconds until the LED light starts pulsing. 
3. When the TV screen shows “Control volume and power with your Chromecast remote,” select Setup remote. 
4. When the screen shows “You’ll hear music next,” select Next to hear the music.
5. Change the volume with the volume button on the remote.
6. Turn off the TV by pressing the power button on the remote, wait eight seconds, then turn the TV back on.
7. Lastly, when "Did your TV turn off and on again?" appears, select Yes. If not, select No, try again.

Once paired, the screen will show “Chromecast remote is ready.”
