I have a Chromecast with Google TV and a 2nd gen Chromecast. Due to a a wifi change I had to select the new wifi. I had a lot of trouble with the 2nd gen and eventually did a factory reset. It is now connected again but I am unable to change the default name as the cog icon does not appear in the device in Google Home at all. The Google TV device have an even stranger issue. The cog appears for a second until the "Open remote" etc options below appear. If I am quick enough I can click on cog icon to rename this device.
But now it seems there is a bug in Google Home and I am unable to rename the 2nd gen.
I have cleared the cache, restarted my phone, reinstalled home but nothing worked for me

Hi Athom,
Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear about that. You could try to use a different mobile phone and check if you will be able to rename your device in the Google Home app.
Thanks,
Jennifer
