Unknown cast device

I keep getting a TV that I have never cast to, nor signed in on showing up on my phone that they're watching YouTube and the control panel that allows me to pause/stop the TV shows on my device.

Like I say, I've never once connected to this TV or signed into my YouTube on it however the history of the stuff they are watching is now in my history. I have a Google pixel 6 phone and when I go into my settings and under connected devices look at the cast option... The TV in question is listed. Please can someone tell me how I can delete this TV as it's driving my crazy!

I work in a high risk workplace and the TV that is connected to my phone is a clients TV and I'm worried they have access to my personal details and Google account. Please someone help as I'm getting nowhere with it.

That means that the TV/Chromecast is logged in on the same WiFi network as your Chromecast.

Is that the situation?  If so, there is nothing you can do to hide or block it.  Chromecast devices are designed to announce themselves and be accessible to everyone on the network.  They do not have access to your Google Account.

The only way around that is to use another network.   You could try using another router to make your own private network and them move all of your devices to that network.

It's my phone but it is a Google phone so likely the reason! I did think it could possibly be because of the same WiFi network!

But it doesn't explain why there history is showing on my YouTube account. I have checked the TV this evening and they aren't signed in to my YouTube however whenever they play a video, I can still pause it and stop it via my phone!

That pause option is another indication that you are on the same network.  That shows up on all other devices when someone casts.  Here is the info about it and how to turn it off on YOUR device.

Keep in mind that when YOU cast, they can probably see cast controls on their phone/tablet and you can't turn that off.

As for the history, I believe Google is trying to get their Chromecast with Google TV devices to talk together better so I see items on my TV's main screen from my wife's viewing activities on other devices.
