Video stutters when I watch Disney Plus

When I watch Disney Plus on my Google TV streamer the video stutters. It doesn't do it when I use my fire stick. Any ideas on how to fix this?

It happens on all Android for TV devices and televisions so it's a problem that Disney must address directly on their app.
