Voice Match not finding all devices

gacracker70

I have several Google devices, such as mini's, lights, hub, speakers, etc. which all are working fine on my Google Assistant voice match.  I can ask Google to turn them on and it does.  We have 3 Google Chromecasts and when I instruct Google to turn them on, it does not work.  I have gone into my assistant settings, go to Voice Match and add more devices and it does not show them.  I have unlinked my voice match and linked again, but it is only seeing a few of the devices in my Google Home. Voice Match is not finding all my devices within my Google Home, please help.

We have two linked Gmail accounts in our Google Home App.  When my husband asks Google to turn on a TV, the assistant works and turn on/off the requested device.  When I ask Google to turn on/off the TV, the prompt states that it is turning on/off the device, however, the device never reacts to the command I have asked it to do.  This is only happening on the Google Chromecast devices that we have.

Sounds like your huband set these up and did not authorize you to use them from the Home app on his phone. Once that is done you should be able to see them and setup voice match from your device.

Hey there gacracker70,

Since the Assistant recognizes the Chromecast on voice commands, but just has no reaction, you most likely need to re-establish/refresh the devices on your Google Home and Chromecast devices. Go ahead and unlink and re-link your account to the Google Home that you're giving the command to. Then, do the same with the Chromecast devices.

So, for now, on your Google Home app, remove the Chromecast device(s) and then re-link your Google account (when it shows under Other Cast devices).

Let me know if that works out, or if you had any other questions.

Best regards,

Jeran

Where are you getting the power from fot the CCwGTV? If from the TV usb and the TV is off the CC is powered completely off and cannot repond to any commands.

It's getting is own power supply, not associated with the TV.

We have two Google accounts within our Google Home.  When my husband asks Google to turn on the TV, the Google Assistant works.  When I ask Google to turn on the TV, the prompt says it is turning in on, but it never does.

Voice match doesn't work with Chrome Cast for Google TV. This is not fixed.

He checked, both his email address and my email address are under recognition and sharing, under "linked accounts" it shows my husband's email on top and mine under "other accounts".  Still not working.
