Volume indicator permanently on screen

I just installed my Google Chromecast yesterday and today there’s a volume indicator permanently on the Google TV screen?

I found the post below but I’m not resetting my router or Chromecast when I just installed it yesterday, doesn’t make sense.

For anyone else that has this issue I solved it by restarting the device (weird as it was brand new and first time using it) by going to Settings > System > Restart > Restart

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. I’m glad that you finally sorted this out. Rebooting or restarting the devices mostly resolves minor issues such as this. You can do it via settings or by manually unplugging and replugging the device. Feel free to create a new thread if you have questions or concerns in the future.
