Hey there Wandog,
Welcome to the Chromecast Community Forum! Check out this article on the technical specifications for the Chromecast devices. The Chromecast with Google TV HD supports up to 1080p HDR, 60 fps. The Chromecast with Google TV 4K supports resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD and high dynamic range (HDR) for superior picture quality, in up to 60 fps.
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran

My display is 1280*800 and Google tv show only different color time by time. However, this display panel works normal with my laptop. So, only few kinds of resolution is accepted by google tv hd?

Hey there Wandog,
By default, the Chromecast should change to the best resolution by default, or you can manually change it in the Google TV settings. Go ahead and go to your Google TV Settings > Display and sound > Advanced display settings > Resolution. From here, change the resolution manually to the best fit, and see if the problem persists.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Best regards,
Jeran

Hiya Wandog,
That's interesting, if the option for 1280*800 doesn't appear, and the potion to automatically detect your resolution isn't working properly either, it seems like the resolution isn't supported. If you have the time, would you be able to submit feedback via Google TV to let Google know that you'd like to see this resolution be supported? Google takes all feedback seriously, and the more feedback they receive regarding a specific feature, the more likely they are to prioritize it.
Let me know if you had any additional questions, I'm always happy to help.
Best regards,
Jeran

Hi Wandog,
Thanks for the info. I've also checked the device settings and the resolutions available on TV however, the only options you can use is 1080p or lower. Can you try to select 720p instead and see if this would make any changes?
Keep us posted.
Best,
Princess
