Hello Team,
My household a has just gotten a TP-Link Deco. This works for all of our devices apart from our Chromecast (Gen-3)
The Deco is within the same room as the Chromecast and it works with our google nest.
I have tried setting it up and it says 'could not communicate with your Chromecast on my android device'. On the TV screen it says "connecting to 'network'".
I've tried switching back to the main router to check that the Chromecast but now it won't work for ether of them. I can connect the Chromecast to my mobile data but that's not sustainable.
All lights on the Deco are solid green and the Chromecast was working fine until two weeks ago.

Hi there!
Thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconveniences that you’ve been experiencing with your Chromecast 3rd generation when trying to connect it to your TP-Link Deco. I understand that when you are trying to connect it using your phone, you receive an error that says “Could not communicate with your Chromecast,” and in your TV it always appears like connecting to network, and you cannot even connect it to the previous WiFi device where it was connected before. No worries, help is here.
In order to provide you with the correct information, I need some extra information. Here are some questions for you:
In the meantime, I will suggest you factory reset your Chromecast following the next steps:
You can check the next article to reboot your device: How to factory reset your Chromecast or Google TV Streamer.
Tell me how it goes.
Regards,
Daniel.
