I read some online articles indicating that Chromecast with Google TV should already have the new Google Home panel. Gemini also told me that. Is this true? I don't see it. I have tried updating, rebooting, etc.

Hello unquieted,
Thanks for reaching out to our community.
I understand you want to use the new Google Home app panel in your Chromecast. Don't worry, let's see what you need to set it up.
For the Home panel to be available, your Chromecast With Google TV must be in standard mode, and you should've already opted in to access the panel. You can opt-in by:
After performing these steps, you can access the Home panel via settings on the top of your Google TV screen by long pressing the home button on your remote.
Take note your Google TV device and user profile must be a part of the same home.
Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Angel.

Hi, thanks for looking at this.
"For the Home panel to be available, your Chromecast With Google TV must be in standard mode" <-- I don't know what mode it is in; i haven't don't anything weird to it.
"You can opt-in by: 1. Open the quick settings dashboard using the Settings Icon on the top part of your Google TV screen." I have an "All Settings" at the top right next to the profile picture. . . .
"2. Click Settings beside your profile icon > Accounts & Sign-in > User Profile > Google Home." I can click "All Settings, but that goes to "Accounts & Profiles", not "Accounts & Sign-in", etc.
"3. Click on the toggle on/off icon to turn on or off your home panel accessibility from your Google TV." There are no options for Google home panel anywhere.
After performing these steps, you can access the Home panel via settings on the top of your Google TV screen by long pressing the home button on your remote.
"Take note your Google TV device and user profile must be a part of the same home." They are.
What am I missing? I went to System > About > System Updat and it says "Your system is up to date."
Is there any more info I can provide?

Hi unquieted,
Thanks for your reply.
I really appreciate you taking the time to troubleshoot in order to get the home panel on your Chromecast.
My suggestion now that you've checked these settings and they're not available would be to follow this article on how to perform a factory reset on your Chromecast, then check out this article to pair your Chromecast with the Google Home app once again. Just make sure your Chromecast and user profile are part of the same home like they were originally. If this doesn't work, you can create another home structure.
Let me know if after setting up your Chromecast again you can see the home panel options.
Regards,
Angel.

OK I did a factory reset .... i only have one home address, and everything is under it. I got the same results. . . i will have to take a look at it later b/c it will take a while to re-add all my devices to a new home structure. I have many cameras, speakers, lights, switches, etc. Thanks again for looking at this.
