YouTube problem

When I connect Google Chromecast to a public Wi-Fi network, some problems begin with the YouTube app. Sometimes it comes out and closes the app without my intervention. Sometimes it raises and lowers the volume without any intervention from me.

If you are on a public WiFi, EVERYONE else on that WiFi can see that you are casting and can issue commands.   That is probably why strange things are happening.   Other people are messing with you.

Google does not suggest using a public WiFi for Chromecast devices. If that is your only option, you should look at getting a Travel Router (or any kind of personal router). That will let you make your own private and secure network off of the public network.  Once attach all your devices to that private network, people on the public network will not be able to see or mess with your devices.
