Hi all,
My father recently purchased two Google TV Streamer Remotes to go with his new Google TV Streamer. Both new remotes I paired up yesterday, no problems, but I did notice one of them seemed to have an issue with me using the on-screen keyboard after using the original remote to pull up that keyboard. I ignored it, completed pairing, and seemingly no problems.
Today though, he realizes he can't use the up, left, or back buttons, and pressing the back button with THAT remote specifically causes the TV Streamer itself to throw an error on-screen (unspecified and undisplayed unfortunately) that brings up the Provide Feedback screen. I said to myself, that's weird, unpaired the remote from the settings menu (I renamed them so I could keep track of them) and sought to re-pair... but I could start the pairing process. So I said, wow, must be a locked up remote or bad factory firmware startup, let me factory reset. Tried factory reset (holding mute and center/select button simultaneously for at least ten seconds) and no white led blinking, OR factory reset beep/countdown confirmation.
Curiously, the IR transmitter and TV power and customizable button still works as well.
Hoping somebody has another idea before I have my dad return this brand-new remote.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Harold_hicks,
Thanks for posting in the community. I understand that one of your two recently purchased Google TV Streamer Voice Remotes isn't working, specifically the up, left, or back buttons are unresponsive, and it showed you an error code on the screen. I appreciate the troubleshooting you've done so far. Help is here!
To help me get a better understanding of what's happening, could you please share a photo of the error code?
In the meantime, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
Note: It usually takes no more than 12 seconds to initiate a factory reset.
Keep me posted.
Best regards,
Rusell.
