chrome cast

Hello, I’ve been trying to connect my Chromecast to iphone but I get this same response “ chrome cast TV may be set up, but we could not communicate with it from your iPhone. Make sure that you have enabled local network access in your iPhone’s privacy settings. Then try again.“

so I went and bought a new Chromecast because I thought maybe it wouldn’t connect because it’s old.

turns out the same thing is happening to my new Chromecast. I’ve reset my phone, updated the app, updated my phone, change my access location, but still nothing works.

please help me!

Step 1. Make sure Local Network Access is enabled
  • On your iOS device's home screen (iOS 14 or later), tap Settings.
  • Tap Privacy. Local Network. ...
  • Turn on Local Network Access for the app(s) you would like to allow access to your network. This will allow permissions for your device to discover Cast-enabled devices.
