error when attemptinig to initally get on chrome

I am trying to install chromecast on my tv.  I plug it into the HDMI 3 port on my  HDMI swithc and get no signal,  i"ve tried other ports all with the same luck what do I do

Sounds like you have the same problem as me, I get no signal or a message saying that the device is not compatible with the screen resolution please change settings, but it won't let you get to the settings to change anything. So much for plug and play. Can't even find my device in the Google home app.

well with the last reply by @Hellbound1, that is a TV problem. But for @rkellercv: make sure the Hdmi is in all the way in the TV and make sure the  chromecast is plugged into a power source like a wall outlet.

@rkellercv, just to clarify — when you say HDMI switch, is this a device that you connect to a TV that doesn’t have an HDMI port?

 

@Hellbound1, have you tried a different HDMI port or a different TV?

 

What Chromecast device are you using?
