I bought my Google Chromecast TV HD - everything is working fine until yesterday.
The remote wasn't working yesterday, I replaced the batteries and found it was still not working. I went into forum and did all the recommended solutions and still not working. I had put in new batteries and found it drained very quickly. Maybe my batteries were too old so I had gone to the shops and purchased new batteries . With new batteries, I tried the remote, it will not start up but to my horror the top half of remote heated up and became too hot to handle nearly burnt the palm of my hand under my index finger. I was able to grab the bottom using my finger tips and remove the cover and batteries immediately. Google Chromecast is working on the TV using my phone and tablet as the remote. Can you please advise what I should do about my faulty remote.

I have a similar issue too, where it seems like when you hold the talk button and it dosen't send a strong signal.
