Hi guys,
I was interested to hear those early adopter thoughts on their experience with the new TV streamer.
I was excited to hear that they are finally allowing us to connect our nest speakers for a cheap surround sound option.
We have nest speakers and a display on our bed side tables for this very purpose but it was never supported

Hello @lotusmad2001 ,
The only way the Google TV Streamer can integrate with other Google Nest Speakers is by playing music through an Audio Group. This works well as I can have music playing on my TV sound system and other Nest Speakers throughout the house.
There is however, no integration for a Nest speaker sound system.
Please let me know if you have further questions.

Well that's saved me £99! How disappointing, now that the Sonos case is over with I really expected Google would be taking advantage of their ecosystem and joining everything up!
Thanks for your help

Does this mean that you cannot cast/play sound from what you are watching on your Google TV streamer through other speakers in your Home Network?

Hi rolandomata,
Thank you for posting in our community.
I can see that you are concerned about casting or playing sound from the Google TV streamer through other speakers in their home. No worries, I’m more than happy to help you!
Once you have your Google TV Streamer 4K, you can try the following steps to connect it to your speakers:
Set up your speaker or display and Google Streamer 4K:
Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your Google streaming device and speaker or TV.
2. Link your speaker or display and streaming device
3. Set your preferred TV
It's recommended that you choose a TV that will always play your video. That way, you won't have to include the TV's name in your voice command.
Speakers
To reset your preferred device, tap Default speaker or Default TV, then Reset.
For more information, please look at these articles. Use Google Assistant on your TV with Chromecast, Google TV Streamer, and Google TV Streamer (4K).
I hope this information is helpful, and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Virna
