To better assist you, I'd like to ask the following:
- What is the specific model and generation of your Chromecast? Here’s a helpful article about how to identify the model of your device.
- How long was the remote functional before it stopped working?
- What type of batteries did you use? Are the original batteries included in the box?
- Are there any error messages from the streaming device when this inconvenience occurred? If so, can you please take a picture of the error message and share it in this thread?
- Can you describe what was happening to the streaming device and remote 5 minutes prior to the remote not working?
In the meantime, I'd suggest the following steps:
- Try removing the Voice Remote batteries for at least 10 seconds, and then while you reinsert a new set of 1.5 V AAA batteries, please check if the LED light blinks. Note: Replace both batteries. Don’t change only one of them.
