Same here, no familiar face detection after migrating 1st gen wired Nest Hello to Google Home.In addition, the preview from Google Home is way worse than what Nest had (iOS 26).

Hi Jake, thanks for the response. I went through the whole process of troubleshooting and ended up sending the problematic Nest Mini back. The new one I received has been working flawlessly so it might just be an error to the specific device.

Nope, all devices are connected to the same wi-fi but other devices are fine. Apparently the self-unlinking is a common (mis-)behaviour among Nest devices

Another issue i forgot to mention: this Nest Mini also tends to unlink itself and I have to link it back almost every day
