Hi all, I’m starting a new post since a search didn’t return any recent information.
I mainly check the Home app from my iPhone 15 which is running the latest 26.3.1 version of iOS. I migrated all my cameras from the Nest app to the Home app about 4 months ago. The biggest issues after the switch are:
1. Familiar face detection on the Nest Hello doorbell has been really bad. It used to detect familiar faces accurately, but nowadays I only get notifications for people, even with a stranger standing in front and having a conversation for a few minutes, it’s not picking up an unfamiliar face like it used to. My second gen indoor cam in the garage is working great though.
2. The video preview from push notifications is basically useless now. I get a notification for a person, but if I click into it, 9 out of 10 times I get a blank screen. For the only time it is working, I normally get a super sped up preview where I barely see a person entering the view and the preview cuts off. This has been such a downgrade from the Nest app as the preview would be smooth and provides relevant information.
I have given feedback on these issues multiple times within the app and I have not seen any improvements over the last few months. Posting here to see if anyone else is in the same boat? Thanks
