I have been away for a few weeks so I haven't been able to try this.However the speaker has been tested adding to the home network with 3 separate devices with the same issue occurring so I doubt it's an app cache issue. (Clearing app cache tonight)

Yes, help is still needed.Factory reset does not work, and re-installimg the Google home app doesn't work either

I have since tried a factory reset a few times.The Google home app should be the problem as it's been tested adding by different devices as well. But I'll give it another try.
