Google home will not stop timer without saying “hey google” first.

yes. we were too for over a year and it suddenly stopped working that way. Now, we have to say, "hey google. stop." that is what i'm trying to resolve.

Yes, I'm familiar with how it is supposed to work. It's not, however, working that way.
