I ask Google to play Spotify and it acknowledges and says 'OK, playing
Spotify on bedroom pair' but then it's silent! Is there an issue with
Google and Spotify at the moment?
Well I didn't do anything and it's decided to work properly again. I've
been away for a couple of days so guess something changed whilst I was

Thanks both for reply.I'm able to play Spotify on my phone and then
connect to my bedroom speaker and it works as normal then. I tell it to
stop after an hour which it does. The only issue is initially getting it
