Google Nest Community

I recently purchased Chromecast with TV ( HD version) . I have no problem with installation , playing videos from apps( ex Prime, Tubi, Peacock etc) nor casting from my devices. I then installed Plex . It works with the videos in the Plex home page ....

My existing doorbell chime (electronic) needs a diode across the door bell button for it to work . Do I still need the diode for the chime to work when I install the nest doorbell (battery) in wired configuration? Tks
