We were away for three days. AC came on anyway. I believe I checked the app to make sure it new we were away. Hmm??

So far Google Nest engineers have not been able to fix the problem. What I don’t know, is the Nest app a problem just on IPhones or also on Android

As I have said again and again, it’s not the thermostat that goes offline. IT’S THE NEST IOS APP THAT GOES OFFLINE. Sorry to say this, but no one has come up an answer yet.

I’m 73 and have the same problem with the iPhone app. Dozens of calls to Google. No resolution. Very frustrating.

I have tried and retried everything that has been suggested. Only thing that works temporarily is to turn the Nest ring and check a setting or start the fan, but after a few hours the app shows offline. The App Store shows the app is updated monthly ...

Well after much effort,,Comcast told my router settings are automatic and cannot be changed, so the Nest app goes offline daily.
