my google home suddenly keeps saying, "connect to the google home app"

I have had my google home device for a couple of years now and suddenly it doesn't want to work. When I give it a command it says, "connect to the google home app"...when I try to reset it up it gives me this error message...kGSKErrorDomain error-839...
