Ok latest update, I used a very old iPhone se that I had not updated the
Google home app. Success now Woking fine. I assume that it’s the updated
app that’s the problem.please Google sort it.

Update, I tried an old iPhone SE the apps have not been updated as I
don’t use it, successful it now connects and everything works fine. I
can only assume that the last app update is to blame. Please sort it
Google.
