AC won't turn off when desired temperature is reached

I set our Nest temperature at 74 degrees and sometimes our AC unit will continue to run even after 74 degrees is reached until I bump the temperature setting to 75 degrees. The AC unit then turns off and I turn it back to 74 degrees and it stays off....
