Update from my last comment. There isn't an easy fix but I had to factory reset and get it working.

I’m facing the same issue. There was a temporary power outage and my Google Wifi 1st generation pucks turn blinking-orange and won’t even connect to the internet. I tested the modem and it all works fine !
