Update. I did receive a response from Google Nest Customer Care Team. They responded with the following,If you're going to hard wired the wireless Nest Doorbell, it doesn't need to have a chime connector. https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/...

Same problem. Was there ever a solution for this problem?? If i can't get it to work on the app then it's the most expensive door chime I've ever purchased.
