I've rebooted both the WiFi router and the Chromecast but the problem persists. Unfortunately I'm unable to test it with other TV.I can say the issue possibly started after the last update.

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't have any HDMI extender or switch. Is it enough I report the bug here? Is there a way to report bugs that doesn't involve downloading the Google Nest app?

There are only two versions. It's either HD or 4K. Both support 60 fps. You can check it in the settings.
