I got advice from heating engineer. Because the house temp was dropping below 9⁰C and outside temp was -8, the heating was coming on. Got around it by turning off the thermostat and manually controlling it with the app.

Mine is doing the same. Costing £4 before I even get out of bed.Ended up turning the thermostat off for now which defeats the objective.
