Chromecast 2nd Gen Casting blurred images of live news feed

Suddenly my Chromecast 2nd Gen is casting blurred images of live news feed to my TV. Has the firmware recently changed? Has the Chromecast reached its end of life? Do I need to buy a new one?I tried resetting, unplug, restart etc. Nothing is working....
