As I understand it - there is no solution, just confirmation that the Nest is incapable to turn it´s SSID broadcasting off in contrary to most other WiFi products. So might as well shut down the thread. 

The screenshot is from a surround SSID-scan on my Ubiquiti UniFi router/firewall from my different APs. The broadcast seem to come and go though - and have been doing so for several years now.Best regards,/Fredrik
