so I'm going to attempt to get a picture of the blue wire like you ask. however when I got home my nest is charged everything works properly could it be I don't need the blue wire connected

I can figure things out fairly easily. I'm just really confused right now with everything working correctly when the blue wire is not connected but when it is connected it throws it into saying I dont have 2 different units but disconnected it works ...

no heat pump just gas furnace. but the thermostat itself would not even turn on until I had it plugged I to the ob so after I got it on it was still showing on the screen at the wire in the nest y1 heat pump/ac I unhooked the blue wire completely and...

So I just hooked it up like you said and had no power to it. placed to blue wire in the ob slot have power but when run heat test it still turns on my ac unti and not my gas furnace
