Google Wifi Pro disconnects internet as soon as I plug in DSL cable into modem

My internet from my regular router could be working fine but as soon as I plug in my Google WiFi Pro into it's DSL port, it disconnects the internet straight away. Does anyone have any solution for this? I am with Eir in Ireland. Thanks!
