Nest protect won’t connect to TPLink- mr6400

I am trying to connect my protect smoke alarm to a TP link router model MR6400 v.2. Whatever I do I get error p009 (0.80). I have tried a different router which I borrowed and it works with the same service provider. And apparently the same settings?...
