Heat Pump cooling test works, Thermostat Cooling mode does not??

When I do the heat pump cooling TEST…my heat pump kicks on and starts cooling. After I exit out of the test, I turned my cooling mode on the Thermostat on and the heat pump does not kick on. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!! If y...
