I'd also add that I reinstalled the doorbell on the Google Home App on Saturday, the indoor chime worked when tested on Sunday, but is not working today, Monday. During that time, temperatures were approximately 8-17℃, low winds, and no rain.

Thanks for you timely response Jonathan.The doorbell has definitely not been exposed to extreme temperatures in Yorkshire, although I will now have to pay another Google Nest technician to explore your suggestions 
